Music Review: The Budos Band - The Budos Band III
The Budos Band - The Budos Band III
So a few days ago, I read an article on Pigeons&Planes, about the 10 songs that André Allen Anjos, of RAC (Remix Artist Collective) is listening to right now. One of these songs was Rite of the Ancients, the first track of The Budos Band's album titled The Budos Band III (on Daptone Records). That song led me to the album, which I gave a good listening to (or two, or three, it's that good), and I ended up with a clear favorite song: Nature's Wrath, which you can listen to below. The band refers to itself as "Staten Island instrumental afro-soul", a mix of soul music and afrobeat (and jazz, and others), in instrumental form.
Enjoy.
Debian package for Coin-Cbc and binary build of JavaCbc
I have built Coin-cbc from the Coin-OR tools and released them as debian packages for x86 and amd64 architectures. These should work out of the box on any Ubuntu based distribution. Additionally, I built JavaCbc builds for both x86 (32bit) and amd64 (64bit), both of which should work with Oracle Java and OpenJDK.

JForge
This is a simulator for the forging process in the game Legend of Mana. The forge code is based on Myst Erik Ery's work at getting the code off of the game, and biqutS' implementation thereof in C. Both of their work can be found at LoM Kitchen. I rewrote it using Java and added a GUI to it.
This should work as a not-so-bad version 1. Non Windows users : it will probably look very broken (half hidden buttons) because of the window theme I used.
If some cards don't behave like they should, please describe what should happen as precisely as possible so I can (attempt to) fix the code.
How it works : launch the .jar or .exe file (you need java >=1.5), select what you want to forge, then select what the material is, then play with the buttons until you get the result you want. For convenience, the list of items used to forge is displayed and you can see the stats at current step of the forging.
Additionally, you can export/import recipes. The format is extremely basic : it's a text file (with .frg extension) where the first line is the equip code, second line the material code, and every line after that is an item code. No need to download both, just pick one.
Download the .jar version here.
Download the .exe (zipped) file here.
AutoGroup
AutoGroup v1.0
A fast group-making program to split classes into heterogenous (or homogenous) groups.
This program is made using Java, and requires Java SE5 or later (get Java here), and should work under Windows (tested in Win7) and Linux.
Download the archive here. For more information, see the README file inside the archive.
